Crisis Coordinator & Psychosocial Case Manager
We are looking for a Crisis Coordinator / Psychosocial Case Manager
Do you want to make a real impact on the wellbeing of people within organisations?
Do you gain energy from meaningful conversations and situations where your calmness, empathy and professionalism truly make a difference?
Do you have a background in psychology or social work and want to be part of a warm and driven team?
If so, this is your chance to make a real impact.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
As a Crisis Coordinator, you are the point of contact when organisations are confronted with a critical incident. You respond quickly, reassuringly and professionally — both to employers and employees.
Your responsibilities include:
-
Taking crisis notifications in hand immediately and coordinating the appropriate follow-up from A to Z
-
Providing telephone support, first-line counselling and advice to employees and employers
-
Working closely with fellow crisis coordinators and a network of internal and external crisis experts
-
Supporting employees affected by a serious incident — by phone or on site
-
Safeguarding the quality and continuity of each crisis case and ensuring thorough follow-up
In addition to this crucial crisis role, you will also take on broader case management tasks within our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP):
-
Conducting initial support and advisory calls on a wide range of psychosocial topics (stress, conflict, relationship or private issues, financial or legal questions…)
-
Coordinating psychosocial cases and carefully following up employee requests
-
Maintaining warm, professional contacts with partner organisations and EAP professionals (counsellors, coaches, therapists, crisis experts)
-
Ensuring accurate administration and reporting to client organisations
WHO ARE YOU?
-
You have a strong motivation to support people with psychosocial wellbeing
-
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in psychology or social work)
-
You are fluent in Dutch and French; knowledge of English is an asset but not a requirement
-
You are empathetic, a good listener and client-oriented
-
You enjoy working proactively and can plan and organise effectively
-
You remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
-
Experience with support or crisis conversations is an advantage
-
You are driven, entrepreneurial and stress-resistant
WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
-
A meaningful role in which you truly make a difference in critical situations
-
Lots of variety, challenge and space to fully develop your talents
-
Opportunities to grow within counselling, coaching and crisis work (national and international)
-
An innovative, dynamic and warm team of engaged colleagues
-
Afterwork moments and team activities that give you energy
-
A competitive salary package with additional benefits
-
An office within walking distance of Leuven station
Ready to make an impact?
Are you enthusiastic about this versatile and people-centred role?
